I WANT ART TO BE SEEN AND HEARD.

Berlin. New York. Shanghai. My work as a Festival Director combines art and its production with intercultural exchange. I’m at home in the world – and we humans are my biggest inspiration. I hope that my work promotes dialogue across national borders, which is why I work around the world with an international team.

Seven dancers, seven composers, seven worlds, one message: we’re all connected to each other, even when we’re feeling lonely. The seven short films by choreographer and director David Dawson show how strongly our humanity is reflected in our art. Our emotional lives today are defining new truths – becoming the stories of tomorrow. My contribution: Project manager

HAVE I SPARKED YOUR INTEREST?

Festival Director

As Festival Director, I am responsible for both the artistic vision and the strategic planning and operational execution of our festivals – in close collaboration with an experienced team across booking, production, technical direction, logistics, communications, experience design, and safety. I work closely with creative minds, production and technical leads, specialized service providers, and expert planners. Our shared goal: to create a unique and powerful live experience that brings together music and emotion within a thoughtfully designed festival environment. Our festivals attract tens of thousands of visitors each year, creating live moments that last – loud, intense, and deeply connecting. Together, we build temporary worlds where sound, community, and atmosphere merge into a distinctive festival identity – with international impact and the highest standards of quality.

Concept

My creative concepts combine a mixture of performing arts with set-up, multimedia, lights, sound and a development of the contents interwoven with show elements.

Production

I bring exciting concepts to life as an international producer in the fields of art and culture while relying on working with local artists and service providers.

Project Management

Concept, planning, implementation, budget – my projects are coordinated in an integrated way. As the interface for all stakeholders and participants, I keep the production running smoothly.

Jana Posth

Art is my lifeblood. I studied dance in Mannheim and philosophy in Berlin, before spending over a decade performing as a professional dancer on stage, in TV productions, and live shows. In 2013, I began combining my stage experience with my passion for production – initially in independent artistic and cultural projects. In 2018, this path led me into the world of international music festivals – and I was immediately captivated by the power of a festival where live music and people connect within a world we create. My deep appreciation for other cultures was shaped early on, particularly through a two-year stay in China during my childhood.

Today, I live in Berlin and work globally at the intersection of art, culture, and live event production. As Director Festivals at PRK Dreamhaus and Festival Director of Rock am Ring, I develop and deliver large-scale festival experiences together with dedicated and passionate teams. What drives me is creating festivals as part of a strong team – spaces where music, atmosphere, and community come together, and where people can fully immerse themselves. We create unforgettable moments that leave a lasting impression – building memories for a lifetime.

WHERE ARE THE FACTS
AND FIGURES?
HERE.

WHAT MOTIVATES ME IS CREATING VISIBILITY FOR ART.

I value a motivated, professional team in my work as a Festival Director, a team that is open to adventure. Respect for one another, flexibility, foresight and intercultural exchange form the foundation for my productions. It’s important to me that all participants learn from one another. Skills are taught, approaches to work are shared and experiences are discussed. For instance, this is how I organise lectures and workshops around specific commissioned works that promote dialogue. My career as a dancer gives me an understanding of a production from both sides: the view from the stage and the view onto the stage. This significantly impacts my work and enables sound logistic implementation of it.

”What’s different is simply different, not foreign. We need to listen to understand one another.”

Jana Posth

“Art must address the challenges facing society.”
